The analyses of variations in medical practices have been updated with data from 2024.
A number of methodological innovations have been applied. The analyses now include:
- a map showing the distribution of standardised expenditure per patient
- a graph showing the evolution of the distribution of types of patient care over the years
- dispersion markers added to the summary of key data, enabling a comparison of geographical variations in the different indicators between analyses
All methodological changes are detailed in the updated methodology document, which you can consult on the page Methodology (Practice variations)
In addition, around ten new topics (including the analysis ‘Chronic pain treatment’) have been added to the approximately 200 topics already documented.
